Trey Lance is headed back to the Chargers as the backup quarterback for Justin Herbert.
Lance and the club have agreed to a one-year contract that could pay Lance $6.75 million.
Backup quarterback Trey Lance and the Chargers have agreed to a one-year contract. APSince being selected third overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, Lance has played for the 49ers, Cowboys and Chargers.
Last year, he appeared in four games for Los Angeles, including one start, and completed 27 of 57 passes for 226 yards and an interception.
