Fresh off his Super Bowl win, it was revealed that Kansas City Chiefs player Derrick Nnadi would be paying for the dog adoption fees at a local animal shelter.

The animal care center, KC Pet Project, shared the news on their Twitter page after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers, by the score of 31 to 20, in Super Bowl LIV.

“We’re so honored to partner with @DerrickNnadi who is sponsoring the adoption fees of all of our adoptable dogs at our locations!” the organization wrote.

“What an incredibly generous gesture and we want to thank Derrick for his support all season long,” the tweet continued.

The defensive tackle, through his nonprofit, the Derrick Nnadi Foundation, has partnered with KC Pet Project all season, the group said.
