Rashee Rice is on the mend.

The star Chiefs receiver posted a photo on Thursday that showed his knee in a brace after undergoing surgery earlier this week to repair his LCL.

Captioning the Instagram story, “Rise & Shine,” the 24-year-old Rice can be seen resting his leg on a car’s seat.

Rice’s latest update comes days after he posted an encouraging message to his Instagram followers about overcoming adversity as he’s likely done for the year.

The defending champion Chiefs have been plagued by the injury bug to start the year.

In addition to losing wide receiver Hollywood Brown before the season opener on Sept. 5, running back Isiah Pacheco suffered a fractured fibula in a Week 2 win over the Bengals.

The Chiefs reunited with a familiar face in Pacheco’s absence, former Kansas City running back Kareem Hunt, who rushed for a touchdown in Monday night’s 26-13 win over the Saints.

Where the receiving corps is concerned, rookie Xavier Worthy, veteran JuJu Smith-Schuster and Travis Kelce have gotten more involved in the offense, with the tight end starting to shake off early chatter about his quiet start to the year.

The Chiefs return to action on Oct. 20 in a Super Bowl 2024 rematch against the 49ers.
