The couple’s engagement included a private candlelight dinner on the beach with champagne.

“Together we can do anything💙,” Taylor wrote in his caption. Chapman shared the same photo, writing, “You always said this was a forever kinda thing 🤍.”

Taylor’s teammates filled the comments with congratulatory messages, including linebacker Darius Leonard and Isaiah Rodgers.

Taylor and Chapman met at a fall sports banquet at Salem High School in New Jersey, according to a Q&A video on their joint Youtube channel.

Their first date took place at a basketball game between the Salem Rams and Penns Grove Red Devils, Taylor said.

While Chapman attended Ball State, Taylor played football at Wisconsin before the Colts selected him with the 41st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Taylor led the NFL in rushing yards (1,811), rushing touchdowns (18) and scrimmage yards (2,171) last season, which put his name in MVP conversations. He was also tied with Charges running back Austin Ekeler for the most total touchdowns (20).

Taylor announced the couple’s engagement a day before Indianapolis traded quarterback Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders.

The Colts gave the Commanders a second and third round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and a third-rounder in 2023 that can go up to a second-round pick if Wentz plays 70 percent of the snaps, according to ESPN.

Now, the Colts are reportedly eyeing 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
