Andrew Luck’s return is a go.

Colts general manager Chris Ballard told reporters Friday that the franchise quarterback and his injured shoulder were cleared for training camp with no limitations. Luck will receive the snaps with the starters in camp and would play in the preseason, possibly the opener against the Seahawks on Aug. 9.

“He’s throwing the ball pretty well,” Ballard said.

The former No. 1 pick, who had surgery on his right shoulder in January 2017, will have built-in days off. The 28-year-old Luck missed all of this past season because of inflammation in his shoulder that cortisone shot could not quell when he returned to practice in October. He did throw some passes during the Colts’ recent minicamp.

“He needs to play. … but it is a fine line,” Ballard said.

Veterans report to camp next Wednesday for Indianapolis.
