The NYPD sergeant who was

was seen sporting a massive shiner at his home Sunday afternoon.

Sgt. James O’Brien answered the door at his East Northport, LI, home with the golf-ball-sized bruise around his left eye and an ice pack in his left hand, photos show.

O’Brien had to get three stitches in his left brow after 240-lb Lions outside linebacker Trevor Bates decked him inside the 115th Precinct station house early Saturday, authorities have said.

Bates had been arrested earlier for refusing to pay a $32 cab fare and became enraged after O’Brien tried to fingerprint him, officials said.

O’Brien was treated for a concussion after the attack.

He declined to comment Sunday.

Bates was taken to Bellevue Hospital for observation and awaiting arraignment on assault, obstruction, theft and resisting-arrest charges, authorities said.
