Johnny Golf has the same headline-making proclivities as Johnny Football.

Johnny Manziel attended the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament on Saturday, when he allegedly got into an altercation with a heckler.

According to a police spokesman, Manziel was so irked by the instigator he tossed a water bottle at the 18-year-old. The report from Northeast Ohio Media Group does not mention whether the former Heisman Trophy winner connected, but Browns fans are free to guess.

Manziel’s agent, Erik Burkhardt, confirmed the story, saying the former Texas A&M star was “harassed” by a fan at the Irving, Texas, tournament, prompting a friend and security to intervene. The 22-year-old handled the situation appropriately, Burkhardt said, by talking to security officials at the tournament, which explains the photograph with police that has been bandied about the Internet.

This incident is just the latest story to come out during Manziel’s tumultuous offseason, which has included a stint in rehab. The on-the-field news hasn’t been much better for the troubled Manziel.
