From Dallas to D.C., the NFC East actually showed some life Sunday.

First, it was Washington jumping all over Carolina before staving off the Panthers down the stretch for a 23-17 victory.

Then, it was the Cowboys — who got ready with Conor McGregor on the sideline during pregame — destroying the Jaguars, 40-7. Quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 182 yards and rushed for another 82 yards.

“It’s definitely the best we’ve played from executing on offense and taking advantage of when the defense is giving us turnovers and good field position,” Prescott said. “We were just feeding off each other. We felt it early. I don’t know if it was Conor McGregor or whatever it was.”

Washington is now in first place at 3-2; Dallas is 3-3, tied with the defending Super Bowl champions from Philadelphia. Down in the basement are the Giants at 1-5.

If Dallas dominates a team like Jacksonville, which was considered a Super Bowl contender before struggling to a 3-3 record, then the Cowboys may have turned a corner.

If Josh Norman can bounce back from a tortured performance in New Orleans to pick off a Cam Newton pass and force a fumble, then Washington may be able to stake a claim to the East.

There’s still no definitive shape to the race, but both Dallas and Washington showed more than the Giants have put forth all season.
