Golf may not be Aaron Rodgers’ sport, but girlfriend Danica Patrick still loves him.
After participating in last weekend’s American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, Nev., the Packers quarterback gave a social media shout-out to the competitors, as well as Patrick, 36, who let him forget the scoreboard.
“Another incredible week at beautiful Lake Tahoe! Thanks to the @acchampionship for another amazing week and @nbcsports and @edgewoodtahoe for the fantastic course and coverage,” Rodgers, 34, wrote Monday on Instagram. “Thanks to @eblofer for the reads, @officialajhawk for the jokes, @trayfour and @stephencurry30 for the fun on the course, and @danicapatrick for being a beautiful distraction when I started to play poorly.”
Rodgers’ performance declined by the third and final round of the tournament, scoring 79 and tying for 18th, after starting Sunday in 11th. Former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo took home the top prize.
Rodgers seems satisfied with Patrick as his consolation prize. First linked late last year, the pair confirmed their romance in January. And while Patrick has been a lifelong Bears fan, it appears Rodgers has swayed her to the Packers side.
“I’m the biggest Packers fan,” the ESPYs host said Monday on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
Patrick’s new NFL allegiances might make things awkward with her dad, however.
