That didn’t take long.

Just hours after taking the baton from Eli Manning, newly minted Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is now the owner of the hottest jersey in the National Football League.

The 22-year old rookie has seen his jersey sales skyrocket 500 percent since coach Pat Shurmur announced he’d be taking the reins of Big Blue’s offense, according to sports apparel shop Fanatics, whose network includes the official NFL Shop as well as the Giants online store.

Indeed, Jones sold more merchandise Tuesday than he did in the previous two weeks combined, and was the top-selling NFL player without so much as setting foot in a professional football game.

Whether he will be able to keep it up and eventually match Manning — who is head-and-shoulders the top-selling Giant in the decade plus that Fanatics has been tracking the statistic — remains to be seen.
