Davante Adams addressed the benching of Derek Carr.

Adams engineered a trade away from Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to play with Carr and the Raiders last offseason. Adams had played with Carr in college at Fresno State, and mused at the time that he was leaving one future Hall of Fame quarterback for another.

On Wednesday, Carr was benched by Raiders coach Josh McDaniels for the remainder of the season and his future with the franchise is uncertain.

“I’m not gonna sit here and go on and on but obviously I support my guy,” Adams told reporters on Wednesday. “We gotta finish this season up the best way we can, all things considered at this point.”

Asked if this scenario changes anything about how he views his status with the Raiders, Adams was non-committal.

“We’ve got two games left,” he said. “We’ve got the Niners this week and we’ve got another game to go and finish so that’s all I’m really focused on.”

Adams signed a five-year, $140 million deal with the Raiders that neither side could get out of, even if they wanted to, in the immediate term. The wideout has $31.4 million in dead cap in 2023 and $23.6 million in 2024. While there is an out in his deal after 2024, it would still be a bitter pill for the Raiders to swallow with $15.7 million in dead cap in 2025.

It has been an altogether frustrating season for Adams. Not only are the Raiders 6-9, but he let his aggravation boil over during a game in Kansas City in which Adams shoved a production assistant to the ground after Las Vegas lost.

Nevertheless, Adams had robust stats for the Raiders this season. Through 15 games, he has caught 88 balls for 1,290 yards and 12 touchdowns. His future a production is a mystery as it’s unclear who will be throwing him the ball.

Jarrett Stidham is starting in place of Carr versus the 49ers. Carr had been the team’s primary starter since 2014.

Before the season, Hall of Famer Michael Irvin warned that Adams and Tyreek Hill would regret their decisions to move away from Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. The Dolphins are currently 8-7 and trying to secure a playoff berth in the AFC.

“You left Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes — I don’t know if I could’ve ever left Troy Aikman,” Irvin told The Post in April, shaking his head. “I don’t think I could’ve done that.”
