As if the Packers needed any more bad news.

In wake of the news that Aaron Rodgers does not want to return to the Packers due to his frustration with the front office, star wide receiver Davante Adams suggested that he too may not stick around if Rodgers were to leave Green Bay.

“That’s my guy,” Adams said of Rodgers on “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd. “That’s the only guy that I’ve had, other than that 2017 season where he got hurt, that’s the only guy that I’ve played with. We’ve built up a special connection over the years that has put us both in really good positions in our career … we established a lot together.”

“It would change a lot. It doesn’t mean I’d be gone, but I’d definitely have to do some extra thinking if my guy wasn’t here.”

Adams is coming off an All-Pro 2020 season where he put up video game numbers with Rodgers, logging 1,374 yards and a league-leading 18 touchdowns. He was a first-team All-Pro alongside Rodgers.

The superstar receiver is a free agent after the 2021 season, and one would imagine that if Rodgers is elsewhere, that team would be the betting favorite to land Adams. All signs point to that being the case, as the star quarterback has been recruiting other players to play with him on another team, according to the NFL Network.

That same report mentioned that Rodgers and the Packers are “not in a good place” and “not happy with each other.” With Adams stating his desire to follow Rodgers, the team could possibly lose two All-Pros in the span of 12 months.
