Deshaun Watson has said he went to 40 massage therapists during his five years with the Texans — a number that has raised eyebrows.

Now, however, it seems he actually used “at least” 66 female massage therapists over just a 17-month period between the fall of 2019 and the spring of 2021, a bombshell report from The New York Times revealed Tuesday.

Watson has been sued by 24 massage therapists for alleged sexual misconduct. An additional woman sued him, but withdrew her suit. Two more therapists made criminal accusations, but did not sue. Fifteen massage therapists defended Watson with statements of support. At least four worked for Genuine Touch, the massage firm hired by Watson’s former team, the Texans.

Lawyers for the plaintiffs have identified five additional women during the investigation process, and The Times’ Jenny Vrentas confirmed 15 more women through interviews and records reviews.

Also, per The Times, a member of the Texans organization provided Watson with an NDA form to give massage therapists. The franchise, which The Times also said “provided the venue Watson used for some of the appointments,” said in a statement it first learned of sexual misconduct allegations against the quarterback in March 2021. The Texans also said they have cooperated with investigators and “will continue to do so.”

Two grand juries in Texas have declined to proceed with criminal charges against Watson in connection with the myriad of allegations. Watson and his attorneys have repeatedly claimed any sexual activity with any of the massage therapists was consensual.

On Monday, a 24th woman filed a lawsuit against Watson, accusing him of ejaculating on her during a massage.

Though he has not been criminally charged, the 26-year-old Watson — who was traded from the Texans to the Browns this offseason and signed a fully guaranteed five-year, $230 million contract — faces potential discipline under the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.

One woman who did not sue Watson spoke to The Times about a previously unpublicized experience. The woman, a physical therapist who spoke anonymously to maintain her privacy, said Watson “initiated sexual contact” in all three of their appointments, according to The Times.

The massage began normally, the woman told the paper, with her massaging Watson’s back. After he turned over, however, “she said his demeanor and voice changed,” according to the story. He began to tell her where and how he wanted to be touched. As he grabbed his feet in his hands while lying on his back, Watson “asked her to massage between his testicles and anus,” according to The Times.

The story said the woman tried to disregard his order, but she said “he grabbed her wrist and put her hand there.”

The woman, according to The Times, said Watson, with whom she said she was familiar, also initiated sexual intercourse on two occasions, “once by pulling down the scrubs she was wearing.”

She said let him proceed in those instances.

“I just didn’t know how to tell him no,” she told The Times.

In a deposition, Watson was asked about a post-massage text message he sent to Ashley Solis, an accuser who later spoke to HBO’s “Real Sports” about her experience. In the text, he apologized for her being uncomfortable. Watson admitted Solis had been “teary-eyed,” but said he didn’t know why.

“I don’t know,” Watson said. “Like I told you at the beginning of this depo, I’m still trying to figure out why we [are] in the situation we are in right now, why I’m talking to you guys, why you guys are interviewing me. I don’t know. Do not know.”
