Burglars stole roughly $200,000 worth of property from Shedeur Sanders’ home on Sunday, according to authorities.
The Medina County Sheriff’s office said in a news release that surveillance cameras at Sanders’ home caught three suspects entering the residence through a back door at 6:46 p.m.
Wearing masks and gloves, the thieves left the home 12 minutes later, taking off with things like clothes, hats and sunglasses, according to Medina County Sheriff’s captain Eric Bors, via Fox 8 Cleveland.
Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders (12) throws a pass in the second half of an NFL game against the Baltimore Ravens in Cleveland, Sunday, November 16, 2025. APNo arrests have been made and local police are investigating the incident.
The break-in took place Sunday evening during the rookie quarterback’s first career NFL game, making him the latest instance of burglaries at professional athletes’ homes.
“Mr. Sanders obviously is concerned about his privacy,” Bors said. “He is handling it pretty well. He’s been pretty calm, been very cooperative with us. We are working feverishly to try to get some leads on this.”
Last month, the home of Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was broken into.
In December, Luka Dončić’s home was burglarized — just months after NFL stars Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Joe Burrow also had their homes ransacked.
Last November, the NFL and NBA both issued memos about the rash of burglaries.
Bors said, “there does seem to be some type of possible tie” between the previous burglaries and the one on Sunday.
“We have been in contact with those agencies for those jurisdictions where they’ve had burglaries and thefts as well,” he said. “So, we are working with them hand in hand to try to get some leads.”
