Jets coach Rex Ryan said defensive lineman Mike DeVito likely will miss Sunday’s game with the Redskins.

Ryan said DeVito injured his left MCL, but did not say whether it was a sprain or a tear. DeVito sprained the MCL in his right knee earlier this season and missed two games.

Ryan also said the team released safety Emanuel Cook, who jumped on the errant kickoff by the Bills’ Dave Rayner in the second quarter of Sunday’s 28-24 Jets win.

Ryan declined to get into the details of the team’s decision. Safety Tracy Wilson will be signed from the practice squad, Ryan said.
