Dez Bryant is ready to suit up again.

The former Cowboys receiver, who last played in December 2017, revealed Wednesday he’s hopeful for another shot in the NFL and intends to contact teams in the coming weeks.

“I’m not trying to go nowhere and be a starter on a team. I want to contribute because I know I will be able too… I’m feeling good… in two weeks I’m going to reach out to teams and see what happens…. let’s go X,” Bryant tweeted.

Bryant, 31, was released from the Cowboys in April 2018 after eight seasons. He previously lobbied for a spot on the Giants before signing a one-year deal with the Saints that November. Shortly after joining the team, Bryant ruptured his Achilles and was shut down for the year.

In July, Bryant said he was done with football, telling his 3.5 million Twitter followers, “This exactly why I don’t have no interest in playing football right now… I have not reached out to no organization trying to play… people forget real quick we are still human.. my anxiety and depression came from this type of stuff… what I realized nobody care but me.”

Bryant’s message at the time was in response to a TMZ report about a pending lawsuit against the Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott, in which the team was accused of covering up a car crash involving the running back.

Four months later, it appears Bryant’s attitude towards football has shifted dramatically.
