The Jadeveon Clowney sweepstakes could soon be over.

The Texans star linebacker reportedly has met with Dolphins head coach Brian Flores and other team officials, according to NFL.com, as rumors swirl of a potential trade between Houston and Miami.

Clowney also fired longtime agent Bus Cook, as his future remains in limbo. The three-time Pro Bowler has sought a long-term extension with the Texans for over a year.

In March, the Texans placed a franchise tag on Clowney, but he has yet to sign his one-year, $15.9 million tender and reportedly cannot be traded until he reports to training camp and does so.

Clowney, 26, finished last season with nine sacks and 47 tackles and would be an intriguing fit with the Dolphins, as all signs point to Miami tanking this season for a franchise quarterback in the 2020 NFL draft.

The Texans are interested in 2016 first-round pick Laremy Tunsil, who would greatly improve their shaky offensive line, but the Dolphins are unlikely to trade the left tackle, according to ESPN.
