Mike White is on the open market.

The ex-Jets quarterback was cut by the Dolphins on Sunday, as teams must trim down to 53-player rosters by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.

White was battling Skylar Thompson for the Dolphins’ backup quarterback job behind Tua Tagovailoa, but Thompson came out on top.

White, a former fifth-round pick by the Cowboys in 2018, signed to the Jets practice squad in 2019 and became a brief fan and locker room favorite during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.

Stepping in for an injured Zach Wilson, White, making his first career start, led the Jets to a stunning 34-31 win over the Bengals on Oct. 21, 2021.

He started two more games that year, but lost both.

White started four more games a year later, but went 1-3.

During his Jets tenure, White completed 62.6 percent of his passes with nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

He signed with the Dolphins last year and served as Tagovailoa’s backup.

White and Thompson split time during the Dolphins’ 24-14 preseason loss to the Buccaneers on Friday, though Thompson got the bulk of the work.

White completed 5 of 9 passes for 37 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions.

Thompson went 19-for-27 passing for 190 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Across the preseason, White completed just 20 of 43 passes for 179 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.
