Josh McCown is getting his chance for a Nick Foles moment.

The former Jets quarterback entered the Eagles’ wild-card playoff game Sunday against the visiting Seahawks late in the first quarter after starter Carson Wentz suffered a head injury, the team announced, after he was hit in the back of the head by Seattle defensive end Jadeveon Clowney on a helmet-to-helmet collision.

No penalty was called on the play, and the team announced Wentz will not return.

Wentz was 1-for-4 for three yards when he left the game and the Eagles trailed 3-0 when McCown came in for the first playoff action of his 17-year career.

This also was Wentz’s first playoff game. He missed the Eagles’ run to the Super Bowl title two years ago because of injury, having to sit and watch as Foles, the backup quarterback, led the team to the Lombardi Trophy.
