Two scary scenes unfolded on Thursday night at Lincoln Financial Field.

Eagles wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland and defensive tackle Moro Ojomo were both carted off the field after suffering separate neck injuries during a preseason game against the Browns, which ended in an 18-18 tie.

In the third quarter, Cleveland went up to make a catch along the sideline on a pass from quarterback Tanner McKee when he came down awkwardly on his neck and then remained on the ground.

He stayed down on the field for several minutes while he was attended to by the Eagles’ medical staff.

Cleveland was eventually placed on a stretcher and carted off the field.

One quarter later, Ojomo was struck in the neck inadvertently by teammate Tristin McCollum as they went to hit Browns quarterback Kellen Mond.

He was carted off the field and gave the crowd a thumbs-up.

The Eagles announced that both players have movement in all their extremities but provided no further updates on their statuses.

Before the injury, Cleveland made one catch for four yards in Thursday’s preseason tilt.

The Eagles’ receiver has been turning some heads in camp and was coming off a string performance last week against the Ravens when he made five catches for 68 yards.

Cleveland was drafted in the seventh round out of the University of Florida by the Broncos in 2020, playing in 23 games with Denver over three seasons before signing with the Eagles’ practice squad in January.

In three NFL seasons, Cleveland has eight catches for 91 yards after he recorded 91 receptions (eight touchdowns) for 1,271 yards in the SEC.

Ojomo was the Eagles’ seventh-round pick this year after playing collegiately at Texas, where he recorded 95 tackles and 13.5 sacks.

The Eagles’ final preseason game comes next Thursday when they host the Colts.
