Quarantine evidently has Eli Manning considering his social media presence.

Just over two months into his retirement, and roughly a month into New Jersey’s stay-at-home order caused by the global coronavirus pandemic, Manning is seemingly contemplating creating a Twitter account. Former Giants teammate Lawrence Tynes took to Twitter to announce his plan to coerce the newly retired quarterback into joining the social media scene, which the 39-year-old father of four never really took part in over his 16 seasons in New York.

“I had a really nice text exchange with a QB friend of mine telling him he needs to activate a Twitter account,” Tynes wrote Tuesday, attaching a screenshot of his text conversation with Manning. “Here is the reply, fingers crossed.”

“Thinking about it,” Manning wrote.

“Do it! You would go to 1m instantly!” the former kicker replied, referring to the amount of followers the two-time Super Bowl MVP would likely rack up.

Why does Tynes want Manning on Twitter so badly?

“First question I get from anyone Giants or non Giants fan, “what’s Eli like?” He’s f–king hilarious and awesome that’s what,” Tynes wrote. “Most competitive dude I have ever met. Giants fans love him, America would love Twitter Eli #GMEN.”

A little over an hour before Tynes posted that conversation, Manning replied to brother Peyton Manning’s ‘#ALLINCHALLENGE,’ a celebrity-driven fundraising initiative started by Fanatics to feed those in need. In a video posted by SportsCenter, Manning revealed that he was offering a chance to own the convertible he took home after winning his Super Bowl XLVI MVP.

“What I’ll do is, I will actually come and deliver this, hand deliver this, to whoever wins it,” Manning said. “And we’ll get to hangout for a little bit, chat, get to meet your friends and family, maybe go for lunch and maybe I’ll ever teach you how to handle this bad boy.”
