Eric Dickerson’s throwback jersey may never be more popular.
The legendary running back, who returned to the Rams as vice president of business development, took aim at his own team’s new uniform on Wednesday, saying the overhaul makes the Rams look “soft” and resembles surfing gear.
“This is football. This ain’t nothing to do with surfing. This ain’t nothing to do with waves,” Dickerson said on AM 570 LA Sports. “This is football. This is a man’s sport. And to me, it just looks soft. It don’t look like football. It don’t look hard.”

Dickerson previously said the team’s logo change would hurt merchandise sales.
“Someone said it looks like a penis; it did,” Dickerson said. “That says it all right there. That should be enough for the Rams to say we messed up. We’re going to keep what we got.”
Instead, the Rams produced a helmet, featuring horns that Dickerson thinks look like “two bananas.”
“The helmet and the logo, they both suck,” Dickerson said.
