The Associated Press tallies each player who protests during the national anthem each week. This week’s entry from Buffalo: “Near white-out conditions from snow made it nearly impossible to see.”
The Bills-Colts game Sunday is at times literally unwatchable (but fun!) on TV, and at times literally unwatchable (and seemingly miserable!) from the stands. How the athletes are managing on a field that could see up to a foot of snow and with swirling winds is a wonder.
(Notable first-half numbers in a game the Bills lead 7-0: 11 total pass attempts for a total of 49 yards, one field-goal attempt, one field-goal miss.)
Here was the view from the press box, courtesy of ABC News in Buffalo:
From the field level, it was immediately clear that walking, much less running, would be a problem.
The ticket-paying fans were wondering why they signed up for this — paid money for this.
“It’s hard to look at the game. Where is the end-zone lines? Where is any line?” said one fan in video appropriated posted by Numb Bills Fan.
“By our standards, this is f–king insane,” another chimed in. “You know what I mean?”
