Saints safety Marcus Maye has been arrested for the second time in less than two years.

Saints reporter Nick Underhill first reported that Maye has been arrested for aggravated assault with a firearm. The arrest was confirmed by Fletcher Mackrel, a New Orleans sports reporter for NBC affiliate WDSU, who added that the arrest occurred in Jefferson Parish, the Louisiana county where New Orleans is located.

Mackrel shared details from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, which went into further detail on the incident, and mentioned that Maye allegedly targeted a car full of teenage girls in the incident.

“Maye was identified as the driver of a black SUV that was involved in an incident in which he is accused of pointing a firearm at another vehicle that was occupied by several juvenile females,” it read.

TMZ reports that Maye was booked Thursday morning.

“Marcus vehemently denies the allegation from a motor vehicle incident, and looks forward to defending himself when all the facts come out,” Maye’s attorney, Eric Hessler, told Tom Pelissero of NFL Media

No other details were immediately available.

Maye was also arrested in February in Florida on charges of driving under the influence, DUI/damage to property and leaving the scene of an accident.
