One of the four members of the Raiders front office who recently left the team is finally speaking out.

Araxie Grant, who served as team controller spoke to Sports Business Journal to claim she did nothing improper in her tenure with Las Vegas.

“I’ve been contacted by several news outlets with questions about why I resigned,” she said. “As a CPA I have a duty to maintain confidentiality and, for this reason, I am not able to disclose details or answer questions regarding my resignation from the Raiders. I can say that I have never been involved in any financial impropriety or wrongdoing before or during my 20-month tenure with the Raiders.”

Reports claimed that Grant, Raiders president Marc Badain, CFO Ed Villanueva and senior vice president Brandon Doll left their respective positions because of “significant financial irregularities” that stretched for years.

Grant claims there were no wrongdoings or illegal actions on her part as she managed the team’s finances and any allegations were false..

“I am someone who lives by high standards of ethics and integrity,” Grant said. “As a CPA, I have never, and would never, participate in unethical accounting practices, or compromise my professional responsibilities in any way. I am grateful for the chance to have worked with the Raiders and look forward to my next career challenge.”

The franchise has not commented on the nature of the resignations.
