Ezekiel Elliott’s latest tattoo was not mom-approved.

The Cowboys running back showed off his newest ink Sunday night after scoring a touchdown in a season-opening loss to the Rams, lifting up his jersey and revealing a tattoo that read “Feed Me” with a spoon on his midriff.

Elliott may have just been staying true to his brand, but that doesn’t mean his mom, Dawn, was a fan of it. A fan tweeted at her asking how she felt about it and Dawn responded with a thumbs-down emoji.

“At this point, my mom is like over getting mad at me for getting tattoos,” Elliott claimed to reporters Wednesday. “Now she’s coming around to them.”

The 25-year-old Elliott said he got the tattoo in Dallas before training camp.

“It was super painful,” Elliott said. “I think like the next day we went and threw at [Dak Prescott’s house], and it was all swollen and puffy. It was awful. Not going to lie, it was painful. But happy with the result.”

In his rookie year, Elliott began using the “Feed me” gesture — like spooning food into his mouth — after long runs. Now he has taken his dedication to the saying to another, permanent level.

“I mean, I got kids, so I wouldn’t say I approve it, but it’s a dope tattoo,” defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence said. “As long as he takes care of it, they keep feeding him and he get the touchdowns, I ain’t got no problem with the tattoo.”
