Former NFL tight end Lance Kendricks was arrested for DUI in Santa Monica, Calif., on Sunday, after police say he was found passed out behind the wheel with the engine still running.

Santa Monica Police told The Post that officers responded to reports of a Ford Bronco “swerving” near Ocean and San Vicente Boulevard in Santa Monica around 2:18 a.m. on Sunday.

Upon arrival, police said Kendricks, 34, was found “passed out in the driver’s seat with the engine still running,” and that the former NFL player displayed “obvious signs of intoxication.”

Police said in a statement that “SMPD Officers conducted standardized field sobriety tests and concluded that Kendricks had operated a motor vehicle while being intoxicated. He was placed under arrest for DUI.”

Kendricks was later “cited out on the charge,” police said.

According to TMZ, Kendricks took a breathalyzer and blew over double the .08 legal limit. He reportedly made $5,000 bail and was released later Sunday morning.

Kendricks, who spent nine seasons in the NFL, last played in 2019.

The 2011 second-round pick began his career with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams and remained with the team for six years. He went on to spend two seasons with the Packers before short stints with the Patriots and the Chargers.

The NFL suspended Kendricks for the first game of the season in 2019, while he was with the Patriots, in connection to a 2017 arrest for marijuana possession. He pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge and received six months of probation.

Kendricks appeared in 137 games, catching 244 passes for 2,555 yards and 19 touchdowns.
