These Jets demolished the Dolphins 40-17. These Jets are winners of two straight for the first time in two years and winners of a divisional game for the first time since 2019. This feel like a competitive team, led by a young core that is truly easy to root for.
These Jets are 3-2. These Jets look different.

- 40-17 JETS WIN: Went up against a third string QB, but you don’t apologize for wins. The defense was tremendous. The Jets offense still went up against a good defense and ran all over them. Zach Wilson played mistake-free football. It could have been a bad loss when it got to 19-17, but the Jets scored 21 unanswered points to seal the deal and get to 3-2. The last win inside the AFC East for Gang Green came in 2019, so this was a monkey off their back.
- BREECE HALL IS SPECIAL: What a special performance from the Jets rookie running back on the ground and as a receiver. That 79-yard reception was incredible and how he broke tackles and had a defender trying to bring him down. Joe Douglas got it right with Hall, Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner in the draft. Gardner had a fantastic game with the huge sack that knocked Teddy Bridgewater out as well as his first career INT.
- THESE JETS: As I try and get my mind off “These Mets”, what about These Jets? The Jets were 3-2 in 2016 and 3-3 in 2018 and ended up 5-11 and 4-12. This team looks different, but they have a few tough road games coming up. Coz’s four-win prediction looks like it will be very wrong. This team is in the wild-card race in what has been a mediocre AFC through five weeks. An eight-win season is not completely out of the picture.
