Minshew Mania has returned.

Gardner Minshew, the mustachioed rookie sensation, was inserted at quarterback to start the second half against the Buccaneers Sunday with the Jaguars trailing 25-0. Nick Foles was benched after going 7-for-14 with 93 yards, two lost fumbles and an interception in the first half.

Foles, 30, joined the Jaguars this year on a four-year, $88 million deal with roughly $50 million guaranteed. He suffered a collarbone injury in Week 1, paving the way for Minshew, the 23-year-old sixth-round pick out of Washington State, to take over.

Minshew was a revelation the rest of that Week 1 game against the Chiefs, going 22-for-25 with 275 yards and two touchdowns, along with an interception. The Jaguars then went 4-4 with Minshew as the starter, but after a pre-bye 26-3 loss to the Texans, Doug Marrone handed the keys back to a returning Foles.

Jacksonville lost two divisional road games at Indianapolis and Tennessee, both by at least 20 points, before falling behind by 25 at home to Tampa Bay.

Jaguars fans have been calling for Minshew — who entered the game with 2,285 yards, 13 touchdowns and four interceptions this season — to get the job back. Some fan-made signs at the game had messages including, “We want Minshew” and “All I want for Christmas is ‘Shew!”
