Joe Schoen had his cake — and he ate it, too.

The Giants GM stood firm with his first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, opting to take stud linebacker Abdul Carter at No. 3, not succumbing to the allure of taking a quarterback he didn’t truly believe in so high.

But, late in round, Schoen seized him moment, trading back in to snag Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart with the No. 25 pick — acquired for the price of pick Nos. 34, 99 and a 2026 third-rounder.

In doing so, he improved his team on both sides of the ball — and brought in a QB who can learn from the likes of Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston en route to being the franchise’s long sought-after franchise passer.

On Friday night’s Day 2, Schoen snagged Toledo defensive tackle Darius Alexander with their third-round pick.

The Giants’ Day 3 on Saturday was highlighted by the selection of Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo in the fourth round. In the fifth round, the Giants bolstered their offensive line, drafting Purdue guard Marcus Mbow. They closed out their 2025 NFL Draft with two seventh-round picks: Nebraska tight end Thomas Fidone II and Oklahoma State cornerback Korie Black.
