Giants football is finally back.

After reaching the Divisional Round of the playoffs last year, the Giants now enter the second season under head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen with heightened expectations.

It begins with a rivalry clash, as the Giants host the Cowboys at MetLife Stadium on the first “Sunday Night Football” of the season.

The Giants have won just one of their past 12 games against the Cowboys.

Can the Giants finally start reversing that trend?

By Christian Arnold

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones remained in the game despite the beating the Giants had been taking.

The fact that Jones remained in the game stunned fans and even became the topic of conversation during the Sunday Night Football broadcast. The decision to keep Jones in the game stemmed from simply just wanting to get something positive out of Sunday.

Giants embarrassed by rival Cowboys in nightmare season-opening loss

By Paul Schwartz

The best thing about the way the Giants opened up their 2023 season was that the abuse they took and the sacks they allowed and the embarrassment they should feel resulted in only one loss.

One big, fat, desultory, disgusting loss.

It is difficult to conceive of a worse way to embark on a season.

Daniel Jones finished the night with 104 passing yards on 15 completed passes and he was sacked seven times.

As a team, the Giants were held to just 171 total yards on offense.

Diggs family reunion at MetLife

By Christian Arnold

Sometimes the schedule just works out, and that's the case for the Diggs family.

Trevon Diggs and the Cowboys faced the Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday Night Football to open the season and it just so happens that the Buffalo Bills face the Jets in East Rutherford on Monday Night Football. That afforded Stefon Diggs and their mother Stefanie Diggs the chance to watch Trevon in person on Sunday.

Cowboys score on opening drive of second half

By Christian Arnold

The Giants fortunes haven't gotten any better in the second half.

Tony Pollard capped a 10-play, 75-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run to extend the Cowboys lead to 33-0 after the extra point. Jones entered the end zone untouched and there was a "Let's Go Cowboys" chant that rose from the crowd at MetLife.

The touchdown was Pollard's second of the game.
