Daniel Jones’ neck injury is not a reoccurrence of the ailment that sidelined him for six games in 2021.

The Giants quarterback’s visit to a specialist Monday eased some initial concerns that he raised postgame Sunday when he said the pain felt like a “similar issue.”

He was injured taking his 28th sack of the season and did not return over the final 12 minutes of the 31-16 loss to the Dolphins.

“It’s different than what I’ve dealt with in the past, so just trying to heal up as quickly as possible and follow the advice from the trainers and doctors,” Jones said Tuesday morning on FanDuel TV’s “Up and Adams” program. “I’m feeling better.”

The findings of both the postgame X-ray and a preliminary examination of Jones’ neck Monday were encouraging, The Post’s Paul Schwartz previously reported. Jones declined to share any specifics about either neck injury, though the 2021 case was related to a disk, ESPN reported.

“Hoping I can heal up quickly,” Jones said, “and doing everything I can to get out there as soon as possible.”

Could he return as quickly as Sunday against the Bills? Head coach Brian Daboll expressed optimism Monday that it was a possibility.

“That’s certainly the goal,” Jones said.

But Jones will need to be medically cleared for contact before he can return. That approval was the holdup when he tried to talk his way back into the lineup in 2021.

And the reality is that Jones is getting harassed at league-high levels. He has been pressured 82 times, which is the third-most that any quarterback has faced through five games since 2009, per ESPN.

“I think the biggest thing is dealing with contact,” Jones said. “Getting hit in a certain way exposes you. It’s not necessarily what would prevent me from throwing or doing anything I need to do, but taking a similar hit could affect it.”

Jones maintained his usually stoic demeanor with host Kay Adams despite the 1-4 start.

“Certainly didn’t expect to be in this position, but we’re frustrated and using that to fuel us in how hard we’re working,” Jones said. “Me coming on your show and being frustrated or being frustrated all the time isn’t really going to help us get a whole lot of results.”

The Giants designated WR Cole Beasley (leg) to return to the practice squad from injured reserve, with a game against his former team, the Bills, on tap.

OT Yodny Cajuste is expected to join the practice squad, pending a physical, after he was injured during and cut from Jets training camp.

CB Amani Oruwariye and WR Cam Sims were the corresponding cuts.

OT La’El Collins — a career 86-game starter — will visit the Giants on Wednesday after visiting the Jets on Tuesday, according to NFL Network.

Both injury-depleted lines desperately need tackle help.

Collins hasn’t practiced since suffering a torn ACL last December.

He was released by the Bengals last month.

LB Bobby Okereke showed some of the pass-coverage ability last game that helped him secure a four-year, $40 million contract to play under defensive coordinator Wink Martindale.

He had an interception and tipped another pass that Jason Pinnock intercepted and returned for a touchdown.

“I think just getting a better understanding of Wink’s system, getting a better understanding of how my teammates play around me and just feeding myself with confidence and positivity,” he said. “Just trying to do that for the group.”
