Kyle Rudolph has not yet signed his contract with the Giants and, according to a report, he may not sign it at all because of a problem with his physical.
According to the NFL Network, sources say the Giants medical staff is concerned with Rudolph’s foot and believes he’ll need surgery on it.
According to the report, the two sides are discussing how to proceed. There was another report from Pro Football Talk that said the signing was going to go through regardless of the injury snag. The Giants have not commented on the situation.
Rudolph, who was released by the Vikings on March 2, last week agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth $12 million with $4.5 million guaranteed.
The Giants were hoping that Rudolph, who hasn’t dropped a pass since the 2018 season and has 453 career receptions, would become a reliable target for quarterback Daniel Jones and pair well with tight end Evan Engram, who has had an issue with dropped passes.

The Giants on Tuesday agreed to terms with outside linebacker Ryan Anderson, 26, a former second-round pick out of Alabama. The one-year contract is for the veteran minimum of $1.125 million.
Anderson played his first four years for the Redskins, with whom he’s played 52 games. He started four games in 2019 and had his best season with five forced fumbles, four sack, two fumble recoveries, 44 tackles, four for losses and nine quarterback hits.
