Daniel Jones, who exited the loss with a neck injury, said the pain he's currently feeling is similar to the neck injury he suffered in 2021, a discouraging sign for the Giants.
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Daniel Jones finally took a hit he couldn’t withstand.
After getting pulverized week after week behind an overmatched offensive line, Jones suffered a neck injury early in the fourth quarter Sunday and it added injury to the insult of a 31-16 beatdown at the hands of the Dolphins.
Jones’ health is the overarching concern, especially given that he underwent a procedure on his neck after he missed the final six games of the 2021 season.
The Giants didn’t score an offensive touchdown for the third time in five games.
The Giants lost 31-16 and fell to 1-4 on the season.
They play the Bills next.
The Giants went for it on 4th-and-3, but Tyrod Taylor was tackled short of the first-down marker.
Now Tyrod Taylor was shaken up after a 3-yard scramble, but is staying the game.
He was checked by medical staff during the two-minute warning.
Both Daniel Jones and Wan'Dale Robinson were ruled out.
Jones was ruled out with a neck injury, while Robinson was ruled out with a concussion.
The Giants' nightmares continue to mount.
The Giants forced a stop, and will get the ball back at their own 17-yard line.
