Giants middle linebacker Jonathan Goff was whacked with $12,500 in fines by the NFL for his hit on Bears quarterback Todd Collins in last Sunday’s 17-3 victory.

The league ruled that Goff committed a helmet-to-helmet hit on Collins in the second half, resulting in a $7,500 fine. The additional $5,000 levy resulted from what the NFL deemed unnecessary roughness on the same play, although the league did not specify the incident.
