The Giants tomorrow will travel by train to Washington, D.C. for the traditional Super Bowl champion ceremony at the White House. The Giants will gather on the South Lawn and meet President George Bush, who no doubt as a Texan will make a joke about the Cowboys and smile as he’s presented a Giants jersey by Eli Manning and Michael Strahan.

Before visiting the White House, the Giants will make a more poignant trip, as they’ll go to Walter Reed Army Medical Center and speak with soldiers who have been wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“I’m probably more excited about that,” Super Bowl hero David Tyree said. “You get so lost in something like we’ve been able to experience and the euphoria that goes along with winning the Super Bowl and it’s a reality check. The fact remains we’re at war right now and those guys are laying down their lives so we can bring great moments to a country and we can have those joyous occasions. It’s only because of those people who are laying their lives down right now.”
