Jon Beason made it through the week of practice coming off a right foot injury and is listed as probable for Monday night’s season opener against the Lions. Figure Beason starts at middle linebacker for the Giants.

Beason, named one of five team captains, missed all of training camp and all five preseason games, but the plan always was to get him back for the first game, and that plan has been realized.

Jameel McClain will move to an outside linebacker spot with Beason’s return to the middle.

Brandon Mosley, coming off back spasms, also is listed as probable. He had been starting at right guard, but former Dolphin John Jerry filled in for him late in the preseason and is likely to start in Detroit.

Charles Brown, a reserve offensive tackle, also is probable.

Rookie receiver Odell Beckham Jr., defensive tackle Markus Kuhn and offensive lineman James Brewer are all out.
