PROFESSOR Serby grades the NFL Draft:
THE A TEAMS
JETS: Mark Sanchez was a dare-to-be-great move. Banger Shonn Greene replaces Thomas Jones in 2010.
EAGLES: How happy is Donovan McNabb? WR/KR Jeremy Maclin is a better version of DeSean Jackson, and the trade for LT Jason Peters was another steal. LeSean McCoy is insurance for Brian Westbrook.
FALCONS: TE Tony Gonzalez makes Matt Ryan and Roddy White more dangerous. DT Peria Jerry is high-motor replacement for Grady Jackson and William Moore is a fast, 221-pound safety who replaces Lawyer Milloy.
BENGALS: T Andre Smith and Maualuga are destroyers of men. Six-foot-7 DE Michael Johnson might be scary.
RAMS: T Jason Smith enhances Steven Jackson’s value and keeps Marc Bulger upright, and MLB James Laurinaitis allows Will Witherspoon to move outside.
PACKERS: Adrian Peterson won’t like running into NT B.J. Raji or being chased by OLB Clay Matthews.
PATRIOTS: Bill Belichick maneuvered brilliantly out of first round to revamp secondary. NT-DE Ron Brace had Bill Parcells written all over him.
49ERS: Mike Singletary compares WR Michael Crabtree to Michael Irvin — on the field. Got 2010 No. 1 pick from Panthers for this year’s Nos. 2 and 4.
TEXANS: OLB Brian Cushing can be their Bill Romanowski on the strong side and DE-TE Connor Barwin will begin behind Mario Williams.
COLTS: Gamebreaker RB Donald Brown was better fit than Beanie Wells alongside Joseph Addai; 304-pound roughian DT Fili Moala shores up run defense.
BEARS: Jay Cutler was their No. 1. DE Jarron Gilbert, WR Joaquin Iglesias and CB D.J. Moore address needs.
GIANTS: Hakeem Nicks and giraffe Ramses Barden help at WR, although cost-prohibitive Braylon Edwards was the preference here. OLB Clint Sintim and Will Beatty will be starters eventually.
RAVENS: Shrewd Ozzie Newsome, worried that the Bills might move up, pounced on T Michael Oher, who could start on the right side. DE-OLB Paul Kruger bolsters pass rush.
KILLER B’S
BRONCOS: Josh McDaniels beat the Chargers to RB Knowshon Moreno, and NFL Network phenom Mike Mayock loves OLB/DE Robert Ayers. But why surrender your 2010 No. 1 for 5-foot-9 corner Alphonso Smith, especially when Brace and MLB Rey Maualuga were still available?
CARDINALS: Big Back Wells replaces Edge James. Anquan Boldin stays.
JAGUARS: Ts Eugene Monroe and Eben Britton stabilize offensive line, but where are the receivers?
CHIEFS: Scott Pioli hopes DE Tyson Jackson is more than a poor man’s Richard Seymour. Who rushes the passer?
BROWNS: Mangenius adds Jets and needs to subtract Edwards. C Alex Mack wasn’t sexy pick, but someone has to block Casey Hampton and Haloti Ngata.
TITANS: Big WR Kenny Britt and TE Jared Cook delight Kerry Collins. DT Sen’Derrick Marks helps replace Albert Haynesworth.
DOLPHINS: Diva Vontae Davis and towering CB-S Sean Smith help Tuna line up against Randy Moss and T.O. Intriguing No. 2 Pat White adds versatility and Wildcat flexibility.
REDSKINS: OLB/DE Brian Orakpo upgrades anemic pass rush.
BILLS: DE Aaron Maybin is a Robert Mathis-type pass rusher, but the Jets could bludgeon him. Nasty Eric Wood starts at LG. Love TE Shawn Nelson.
SAINTS: Malcolm Jenkins starts at cornerback or safety. They wanted to move up for Wells to replace Deuce McAllister.
CHARGERS: Pass rusher OLB Larry English could mean Lights Out in 2010 for Shawne Merriman.
STEELERS: 300-pound DE Ziggy Hood is prototypical Steeler.
COME C COME SA
LIONS: Matthew Stafford won’t be a bust, but he won’t be Bobby Layne either. Complete TE Brandon Pettigrew takes heat off both Calvin Johnson and Kevin Smith, but why pass on Oher? And why S Louis Delmas over Laurinaitis or Maualuga?
VIKINGS: Explosive risk WR-KR Percy Harvin will either be a nightmare for defensive coordinators or for Brad Childress. Phil Loadholt is a mountainous RT.
PANTHERS: Everette Brown starts opposite Julius Peppers and is either a terror or undersized pass rusher. Sherrod Martin is a nickelback.
SEAHAWKS: ILB Aaron Curry is a can’t-miss, but why not Ts Monroe or Smith as Walter Jones’ heir apparent?
BUCS: Josh Freeman will be their QB of the future . . . we think.
D WORST
RAIDERS: Blazer Darrius Heyward-Bey over Crabtree? Ugh. Why not trade down from No. 7 and add a draft choice?
COWBOYS: WR Roy Williams was their No. 1. How could Jerry Jones ignore the secondary?
