Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes sprained his non-kicking ankle at practice Friday, NJ.com reports.

Tynes told the website he should play ready to play on Sunday against the Lions. He said his cleat got caught in the turf to cause the injury to his left leg.

Tom Coughlin was asked if the team would need to add a kicker.

“I can’t tell you what I don’t know,” the coach said. “We have to watch. We’ll have to see what he does.”

DE Mathias Kiwanuka and FB Madison Hedgecock are out; C Shaun O’Hara and LB Keith Bulluck are questionable, as is Tynes.
