Observations from the Giants’ training camp practice on Sunday.

The good

Malik Nabers made an over-the-shoulder catch with one foot on the ground as he streaked down the sideline, and then he dragged his other foot before falling out of bounds.

A well-earned flexing celebration and a well-placed ball by Daniel Jones.

It was so good that it topped a full-extension catch by Jalin Hyatt for Catch of the Day.

The bad

Jones had two underthrows to Nabers on passes that could’ve been touchdowns with the right amount of lead but instead wound up as incompletions.

He took a “sack” from Brian Burns in a move-the-ball period that ended with the offense turning it over on downs inside the 10-yard line.

Caught my eye

Fresh off the physically unable to perform list, rookie TE Theo Johnson made a catch in his first 11-on-11 rep of the summer.

TE Tyree Jackson caught a touchdown pass from QB Drew Lock in the second-team offense’s move-the-field drill.

Injury report

C John Michael Schmitz (shoulder) was limited to individual reps.

Austin Schlottman took his spot as the starter.

S Tyler Nubin (calf) is still being held out.
