A week after Eli Manning and Daniel Jones went viral for playing “flip cup” at a Hoboken bar, wide receiver Golden Tate and several teammates celebrated a touchdown in Sunday’s 34-17 loss to the Eagles by mimicking their quarterbacks in the endzone.
Jones, who threw the 20-yard touchdown pass to Tate, didn’t take part this time and instead ran back to the sidelines once he saw the celebration begin to unfold.
The rookie quarterback and Manning, who likely suited up for his final game as a Giant on Sunday, partied last week after beating the Redskins in overtime.
That’s when they were caught on video playing the popular game, which consists of players taking turns drinking beer, and then flipping the empty cup on the edge of a table.
“They are grown men and they look after each other and they were celebrating a victory,” head coach Pat Shurmur said last week before jokingly adding, “They should’ve invited me.”
