The Giants’ crises just keep growing.

Quarterback Daniel Jones is out for the Giants’ Week 6 matchup with the Bills on Sunday with a neck injury, head coach Brian Daboll announced before practice on Friday.

Jones suffered the injury while being sacked during the fourth quarter of the Week 5 loss to the Dolphins.

He did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, and was ruled out of the game before again not participating in practice Friday.

“I think he’s getting better, but not good enough to play for this game,” Daboll said.

There was initial hope Jones would be able to play and that he avoided the same kind of neck injury that forced him to miss six games in 2021.

Daboll, following the loss to the Dolphins, said he was “optimistic” about Jones’ availability.

Though it’s not the same kind of injury, that optimism waned throughout the week, and the Giants will now turn to backup Tyrod Taylor.

Daboll sidestepped questions on Friday about how serious Jones’ injury actually is and whether he’s going to receive a second opinion on his neck.

Taylor appeared momentarily shaken up while replacing Jones against the Dolphins, though he managed to stay in the game.

He has completed 11 of 15 passes for 92 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions this season.

“I have no worries about Tyrod going out there and playing with no fear and playing how he knows how to play the game,” quarterbacks coach Shea Tierney said Friday. “Tyrod’s got a lot of strengths. He can throw on the move, throw from the pocket, he can create, he’s done it throughout his career.”
