Joe Judge saw enough in a player who spent the past two years with the Giants to give him another chance to make the team.

Fullback Eli Penny avoided free agency by agreeing to a two-year contract. Penny, 26, was set to be a restricted free agent.

Almost exclusively a blocker and special teams contributor, Penny played in all 16 games in 2019 and carried the ball only 15 times for 39 yards.

He was a popular personality in the locker room, but did not have much of a role on offense other than serving as a lead blocker for Saquon Barkley.

Undrafted out of Idaho, Penny was with the Cardinals in 2017.

He has 53 career rushing attempts for 188 yards and two touchdowns. He has 14 career receptions.
