The T-shirt slogan is back on the backs of the Giants.

What was once a staple under the Tom Coughlin regime has returned, with players arriving at training camp this summer finding blue T-shirts with “All Ball’’ written on the back. There was no such messaging last season, coach Pat Shurmur’s first with the Giants, and there were no messages in Ben McAdoo’s two years running the show.

This year’s wording was devised by Pat Hanlon, the team’s senior vice president of communications. It is a nod to the present, not the past, and speaks to the culture of this team and the need for a singular focus.

Hanlon ran the idea by Shurmur and it was given the stamp of approval.

“I guess that’s been a little bit of a tradition here at the Giants,’’ Shurmur said Thursday. “I think it can mean different things to different people. I talk all the time that it’s all about the ball. It’s also about ‘Let’s keep the focus on playing football.’ Each player may have a little different interpretation of what that is. But it’s kind of nice when we all get a new T-shirt.’’

The last time the Giants sported motivational T-shirts was in 2012, when “Build The Bridge’’ was Coughlin’s message, hoping to link that team with the Super Bowl winning outfit of 2011. Other Coughlin-inspired T-shirt messages include, “Talk is cheap, play the game’’ which highlighted the 2007 Super Bowl run, “Finish’’ and also “All In,’’ which was the handiwork of safety Antrel Rolle to help spark the 2011 playoff run.

Safety Michael Thomas wore the shirt Wednesday as he reported to camp.

“To be completely honest, I walked in the locker room and it was in my locker,’’ Thomas said. “It’s new swag, it’s Christmas in July and Christmas at training camp so I put it on. I saw [the phrase ‘All Ball’], but it’s just new swag for now.’’
