Tommy DeVito is getting his shot.

The undrafted rookie will start Sunday for the Giants at Dallas, coach Brian Daboll announced Wednesday.

DeVito has played in parts of the past two games after Tyrod Taylor and Daniel Jones suffered major injuries.

Matt Barkley, signed off the practice squad Wednesday, will serve as his backup.

Daboll said the Giants considered bringing in another veteran, but felt the best way to go was DeVito since he’s been with the team all year.

“I think it’s a shock to everybody. Not to have one quarterback but two quarterbacks go down, I mean it’s tough,” said the 25-year-old DeVito, who played for Syracuse and Illinois during his college career. “The quarterback position runs the team, and to have one and two go down like that, you would’ve never guessed that to happen.”

So far, DeVito has completed 17 of 27 passes for 174 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

This week, he will get first team reps — which will be a first for the Cedar Grove, N.J., native who attended local powerhouse Don Bosco Prep.

“It’s going to be a little different for him, obviously. He was up here early [Tuesday] on the players’ off day, and I’d say we met for a while,” Daboll said. “He’s putting everything he has into it. He’s looking forward to the opportunity, and he’ll be out there with the first group. We had a good walk-through with him, so he’s doing everything he can do to put himself in a good position to be ready to go.”

Taylor is out for at least the next three games after being placed on injured reserve with a rib cage injury.

Jones, meanwhile, is done for the season after tearing his ACL in Sunday’s loss.

Both are helping DeVito prepare for the first start of his NFL career.

Their message?

“Just be yourself,” DeVito said. “Don’t try to do too much. Do your job, and that’s it. You’re here for a reason.”

He is looking forward to the opportunity.

His family will fly to Dallas for the game.

Most undrafted quarterbacks fail to even make a roster as a rookie, let alone start a game.

“No nerves, just excitement. I have a life rule. It’s Rule No. 1: Don’t panic,” DeVito said. “That is the thing I’ve always leaned on. It’s a game. It’s football. Yeah, there is a lot on the line, but at the end of the day, you play this game because you love it. And I do love this game. I’m just going to go out there and enjoy myself.”
