The Giants for 17 years have been spared from playing on Thanksgiving Day, but they won’t escape that fate this season.

They will spend Thanksgiving in Denver and face the Broncos Nov. 26 at Invesco Field at Mile High. It will be an 8:30 p.m., nationally-televised game (on the NFL Network) and the Giants’ first Thanksgiving Day game since 1992. Overall, the Giants are 7-6 playing on Thanksgiving. The remainder of the regular season schedule will be announced in April.

The Giants yesterday also received a third-round compensatory draft pick in this year’s draft. It will be the 36th selection of the round and 100th overall.
