The New York Giants have added another receiver to the Plaxico Burress replacement pool, selecting Ramses Barden of Cal Poly in the third round after making a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

To get the 85th pick overall in Sunday’s second day of the NFL draft, the Giants gave their NFC rivals their third-round pick – No. 91 overall – and their fifth-round pick, No. 164.

Barden is similar to Burress, at least in size. He is 6-foot-6. He started 43 of 46 games in four seasons at Cal Poly, catching 206 passes for 4,203 yards and 50 touchdowns. He had a career average of 20.4 yards per reception.
