The post-Daniel Jones era is underway.

The Giants (2-8) will face the Buccaneers (4-6) at home with Tommy DeVito under center. The Giants don’t have a whole lot to play for, but their brass will want to get a look at DeVito to see if he has a future on the team.

Baker Mayfield and the Bucs, however, face a pivotal test after losing four straight. Tampa Bay trails Atlanta by two games in the NFC South, making this an important tilt for them.

Will DeVito flash some magic again? Or is New York destined for a top-three pick in the 2025 NFL Draft?

Malik Nabers explodes on ‘soft as f–k’ Giants, furious about not getting the ball

By Ryan Dunleavy

Malik Nabers was quiet on the field but ready to explode in the locker room.

The rookie receiver called the Giants “soft as f–k” for their effort Sunday in a 30-7 loss to the Buccaneers and questioned why he is not more involved in the offensive play-calling.

“First, second quarter, I don’t get the ball,” Nabers said. “Start getting targets at the end. I mean, can’t do nothing. Start getting the ball when it’s 30-0. What do you want me to do?”

Malik Nabers blasts Giants’ play: ‘Soft as f–k’

By Andrew Crane

Malik Nabers called the Giants’ play “soft as f–k” when addressing reporters postgame. Nabers also said "it ain't the quarterback," adding the results were the same prior to Daniel Jones' benching.

"I don't know what it is," Nabers told reporters, "but I know I'm tired of losing."

Brian Daboll sticking with Tommy DeVito for Thanksgiving game

By Andrew Crane

Brian Daboll told reporters after the game that Tommy DeVito will start for the Giants against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving if he's healthy.

Final: Giants embarrassed by Buccaneers in Tommy DeVito flop

By Andrew Crane

This wasn’t the spark Tommy DeVito provided last year. This wasn’t the spark he was supposed to provide this year, either.

A chaotic Giants week — that featured Daniel Jones getting benched and then asking for his release — ended with a 30-7 loss against the Buccaneers, where Big Blue didn’t score points until the fourth quarter and the Buccaneers collected 450 yards of offense. Baker Mayfield (24-of-30, 294 yards) and the Tampa Bay running backs shredded the Giants’ defense, while the Giants’ losing streak extended to six.

They still haven’t led since their Week 5 win against the Seahawks. And a short week, along with a Thanksgiving matchup with the Cowboys, awaits.

Giants get Tommy DeVito injury scare as Drew Lock enters for one snap

By Andrew Crane

Drew Lock needed to come in for at least one play after Tommy DeVito was crushed by a Calijah Kancey hit, remained down in the back of the end zone and walked off the field with trainers with around five minutes left in the fourth quarter.

But he jogged back toward the huddle after one snap.

Giants turn the ball over on downs as Buccaneers survive Baker Mayfield injury scare

By Andrew Crane

Three of Tommy DeVito’s four pass attempts went to Theo Johnson on the Giants’ latest drive, but three of them — including one on fourth down from their 49-yard line — fell incomplete, and Big Blue turned the ball over on downs with 7:25 remaining.

Baker Mayfield is returning to the field after being listed as questionable to return with a stinger sustained on the Tampa Bay fumble during its last drive. He went into the blue medical tent in between possessions.

D.J. Davidson recovers Buccaneers' fumble

By Andrew Crane

Just three snaps after Devin Singletary’s touchdown, Baker Mayfield and Rachaad White bobbled a handoff, and D.J. Davidson recovered the fumble for the Giants with 9:03 remaining in the fourth quarter.

It salvaged a defensive possession that started poorly when Bucky Irving ripped off a 56-yard run.

Devin Singletary ends Buccaneers' shutout bid with touchdown

By Andrew Crane

It took until the 11:28 mark of the fourth quarter, but the Tommy DeVito-led offense finally managed a touchdown.

Devin Singletary scored on a one-yard rush to cap a 13-play, 68-yard drive that pulled the Giants within 30-7. DeVito set up the touchdown with a 17-yard rush on third-and-4 to get the Giants to the 1-yard line. He completed eight of his nine passing attempts on that possession, too.

End of 3Q: Giants still getting shut out by Buccaneers

By Andrew Crane

The Giants will have a first-and-20 from midfield when the first quarter begins, but they’re running out of time to mount any sort of comeback. They’re trailing, 30-0, and have managed just 138 yards of total offense.

Tommy DeVito has completed 12-of-16 passes for 113 yards, while Malik Nabers caught five passes for 57 yards in the third quarter.
