There is optimism in Giantsland. With eight picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, the good times can keep rolling.
Big Blue heads to Pittsburgh with plenty of fixes to make — a replacement for the traded Dexter Lawrence on the interior line, a thin defensive backfield and a No. 2 option at wide receiver behind Malik Nabers.
With a pair of first-round picks in the top 10, new coach John Harbaugh can get the ball rolling on Thursday night and keep up the positive vibes.

Pick No. 5 – Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State
6-foot-4, 241 pounds
Many draft prognosticators thought he would go No. 2 to the Jets and the Giants did not expect Reese to be on the board when they were on the clock. Played a variety of spots for the Buckeyes in 2025 and uses long arms and powerful hands to punish ballcarriers. Will have to play off the ball to get on the field with the array of edge rushers on the roster. Developing pass rusher oozing with potential.

6-foot-5, 329 pounds
Mountain of a man with thick legs and natural size. Started all 42 games in three seasons and rarely came off the field. Goes by “Sisi’’ and was born in American Samoa. A right tackle in college, will move to guard with the Giants and the expectation is he wins the starting right guard spot.

Pick No. 37 – Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee
5-foot-11, 193 pounds
Competitive press corner who should challenge immediately for playing time. Only 13 college starts — experience is not a strength. Three career interceptions, including one for a touchdown in 2025. Willing to stick his nose in as a run stopper and able to make one-on-one tackles. Giants coach John Harbaugh as a defensive assistant with the Eagles coached Colton Hood’s cousin, cornerback Rod Hood.

Pick No. 74 – via CLE: Malachi Fields, WR, Notre Dame
6-foot-4, 218 pounds
This is a big-bodied target who can outmuscle defensive backs on fade routes and is a weapon in the red zone. Will not run by many defenders but that is not his game. The goal was to get a guy with a wide catch radius for Jaxson Dart and Fields fits the bill.

Pick No. 186 – Bobby Jamison-Travis, DT, Auburn
6-foot-4, 328 pounds
Spent six years in college — three at Iowa Western Community College and three at Auburn — and will be a 25-year-old rookie. Able to hold up at the point of attack and is a willing worker. Not much of a pass rusher, with one sack at Auburn. Another big body to add to the mix.
Pick No. 192 – via MIA – J.C. Davis. OL, Illinois
6-foot-4, 322 pounds
Four-year college starter (first two at New Mexico) and ended his career starting 49 consecutive games. All Big Ten in 2025. Played exclusively at left tackle but took reps at guard at the Senior Bowl. Will start out as a swing tackle-guard with the Giants.
Pick No. 193 – via DAL – Jack Kelly, LB. BYU
6-foot-1, 240
Here is a player who projects to be a core special teamer on all four units. Played first two years at Weber State and turned into a playmaker at BYU, with a combined 15 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss in 2024 and 2025. He was also a two-time team captain for the Cougars.
