Malik Nabers’ injury — which caused a brief scare after he left Tuesday’s practice holding his left shoulder — ended up just being a minor worry, as the Giants’ star wideout returned to practice Thursday following the team’s day off.
He was “good,” head coach Brian Daboll said before the session, and the Giants will operate with a “plan” — which sounded as if they could limit his reps at times if needed to manage his health ahead of the season.
Nabers participated fully and was heavily involved in the offense as usual during team periods, including on one throw from Russell Wilson that traveled more than 50 yards, which Nabers caught around tight coverage from Cor’Dale Flott.

Nabers’ latest injury occurred while blocking on a run play Tuesday.
He missed OTAs and minicamp with a toe injury that dates back to his time at LSU, and he also missed two games last season — a rookie campaign in which he finished with 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns — with a concussion while also appearing on the injury report with a hip flexor injury, a groin injury and knee soreness throughout the year.

Corey Sipkin for the NY POSTGiven his presence as Wilson’s top target, the Giants’ most dynamic playmaker and one of the league’s budding stars, his ability to stay on the field is vital.
And that might lead to a more cautious approach at times until the season arrives.
“We sit down, we have a conversation, we talk about what we think is best for each individual player based on what they have,” Daboll said, “whether it’s Malik or somebody else, and then we do what we think is right for the player, whether that’s don’t practice, whether that’s do a little bit, do a little bit more the next day. We have discussions like that every night and then we do what we think is best.”

Both players went down and stayed down for a few minutes. Robinson came away with a gash on his upper lip that had to get glued together.
“It was scary, but once I knew I was still OK and aware and everything was still intact, I was like, ‘All right, I’m OK,’ ” Robinson told The Post.
With Greg Van Roten not practicing Thursday — he’s “going through” the birth of his child, Daboll said — Evan Neal, the former tackle in the middle of a position change the Giants hope will salvage his underwhelming career, took first-team snaps at right guard.
Former Giants quarterback Eli Manning was at practice.
